New Adeptus Custodes Releases Have Arrived at R&R Hobbies

Games Workshop's latest Adeptus Custodes releases are now available to pre-order from R&R Hobbies, with the new range due in store and shipping from 17 October.

The new range includes four major plastic kits, a new 11th Edition Codex, Combat Patrol, Command Pack, dice and several returning Legio Custodes units that can now be fielded in Warhammer 40,000.

It's one of the biggest changes to the Custodes range in some time, with a number of the Horus Heresy kits now joining the Warhammer 40,000 range alongside the new releases.

New Adeptus Custodes Miniatures

Four new plastic kits lead this release, and each can be used in both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.

Aquilon Terminator Sodality

The new Aquilon Terminator Sodality contains six multipart plastic Custodians clad in Aquilon Terminator armour.

Each miniature can be equipped with a lastrum storm bolter, infernus firepike or adrathic combi-destructor. These ranged weapons can be paired with either a solarite power gauntlet or solarite power talon.

Gyrfalcon Jetbike Sodality

The Gyrfalcon Jetbike Sodality gives Custodes armies a new fast-moving unit for Warhammer 40,000 and The Horus Heresy.

The kit builds two jetbike-mounted Custodians, each carrying a solarite power lance. Their Gyrfalcon Jetbikes can be fitted with a lastrum bolt cannon, adrathic devastator, arachnus volley cannon or twin Corvae las-pulser.

Telemon Heavy Dreadnought

The Telemon Heavy Dreadnought is also joining the plastic Adeptus Custodes range.

The kit includes two Telemon caestus fists with twin neutronium cascade projectors. One caestus can instead be replaced with an adrathic desolator, arachnus storm cannon or Iliastus accelerator culverin. A selection of cosmetic and posing options is included as well.

Pallas Grav-Attack

The fourth new plastic kit is the Pallas Grav-Attack, a highly mobile Custodes vehicle built for rapid attacks and hunting priority targets.

It can be armed with either a twin arachnus blaze cannon or twin Iliastus accelerator fusil and can be used in both Warhammer 40,000 and The Horus Heresy.

More Custodes Units for Warhammer 40,000

Several recent Legio Custodes kits have also been repackaged to make their compatibility with Warhammer 40,000 clear. This adds a much broader selection of infantry, Dreadnoughts and grav vehicles to the 11th Edition Adeptus Custodes range.

The returning units include:

• Shield Captain
• Custodian Guard Sodality
• Sentinel Guard Sodality
• Venatari Sodality
• Custodian Dreadnought
• Caladius Grav-Tank
• Caladius Annihilator Grav-Tank
• Coronus Grav-Carrier

New Codex: Adeptus Custodes

The new Codex: Adeptus Custodes (11th Edition) supports the expanded range with 27 datasheets and 13 detachments.

It includes rules for newer units such as the Aquilon Terminators, Telemon Heavy Dreadnought and Gyrfalcon Jetbikes, along with Adeptus Custodes army rules, background, artwork and hobby content.

The standard edition is a softback book supplied in a rigid slipcase.

Adeptus Custodes Command Pack and Dice

The Adeptus Custodes Command Pack contains 84 reference cards covering army rules, detachments, enhancements and Stratagems.

It also includes two sheets of double-sided tokens for tracking objectives, unit effects and Martial Ka'tah during games. A copy of Codex: Adeptus Custodes is required to make full use of the set.

The new Adeptus Custodes Dice set contains 16 black dice with gold pips and the faction icon replacing the six.

Both products are only available while stocks last.

New Combat Patrol: Adeptus Custodes

The new Combat Patrol: Adeptus Custodes provides a compact force for Combat Patrol games or a straightforward way to expand an existing Custodes army.

The box contains:

• 1 Shield Captain
• 6 Sentinel Guard
• 3 Venatari
• 1 Custodian Dreadnought

The Custodian Dreadnought can be assembled as either a Contemptor-Achillus or Contemptor-Galatus.

With a Shield Captain, Sentinel Guard, Venatari and a Custodian Dreadnought in the same box, the new Combat Patrol covers a good mix of infantry, fast-moving units and heavier support.
